We congratulate the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, the MPAAI, and iGovTT on the launch of VerifyTT.

VerifyTT is Trinidad and Tobago’s national Verifiable Credentials platform, enabling institutions to issue tamper-proof digital credentials that citizens can store securely and share instantly.

Already live, the platform is being used to issue and verify academic certificates and course completion credentials from the University of Trinidad and Tobago, the University of the West Indies, WeLearnTT, and 5 other academic institutions — reaching tens of thousands of graduates across the country.

The platform is also integrated with EmployTT, the national job portal, allowing job seekers to share verified credentials directly with prospective employers during the application process.

Planned use cases include civil records verification in partnership with the Registrar General’s Department, and Certificates of Character in collaboration with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service — expanding access for citizens both at home and in the diaspora.

We also extend our thanks to Co-Develop and Inji for their support in bringing this platform to life.

We are pleased to have supported this work and look forward to the continued collaboration
