The Ministerio de Administración Pública (MAP) and the Oficina Gubernamental de Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación de la República Dominicana (OGTIC) convened technical teams from across the Dominican State for an intensive Verifiable Credentials Bootcamp, supported by the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) and CDPI.

Over five days, teams from agencies spanning environment, agriculture, health, elections and tax set out to build working infrastructure — designing real credential issuance and verification use cases for deployment on national servers, aligned with international standards.

The result is more than technology: functional infrastructure the country owns, teams trained to run and expand it, and a network of technical leads ready to bring verifiable credentials to new public services.
